Jens Smagning 17/03/2026 - sweet roasted dark malty with some velvety chocolate, wooden accents with lovely balanced port character throughout, light spice, full body, warming port infused dark malty finish. Lovely.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, port wine, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, port wine and wood, leading to a bitter finish. 8/4/8/3/16

Bottle from meny toftegårds plads.
pours black with a dark brown small head.
very wood forward bourbon or port like aroma, tons of roasted malts, well rounded, all natural, heavy, complex notes from wood and malts.
flavor is roasted malts, wood, booze, port very faint wine tartness, licorice, dark chocolate, coconut - all flavors naturally from wood and malts. raisins. there is this faint dark dried fruity quad like note but almost everything is roasted malts in a barrel, and the quad stuff just piles up the complexity.
This is a steal for a supermarket beer at any price.
