Can from new Craftissimo at home. Dark dark brown/light black pour with foamy bubbly light tan head. Aroma is roasted almost burnt malt. Taste is a bit tart - burnt coffee - and roasted. Light. Could use a bit more bitterness maybe. Not bad.

Can - Dark malts, light toast and a touch of cocoa. Deep jet black with a decent light brown head. Toasted malts, touch of light molasses and a bit too much carbonation which hardens the edges a bit. The carbonation may have killed this a bit.

12oz can at Brasserie V. Brown-black body with a foamy beige head. Kind of odd herbal meets chocolate aroma. A pretty solid dark saison. Cocoa touches. Not unlike a Porter in a lot of respects. Doughy malts, with a pleasant Saison twangy undercurrent. Easy drinking, quality brew.

Can from CBB. A dark black with a big fizzy beige head that lingers. A chalky soft fruity chocolate nose with a medium body and a raspy mouthfeel. The taste is woodsy dark chocolate with light fruit overtones. Quite an interesting dark ale. I’d almost swear it was barrel aged... it is an odd bird that just doesn’t come together leaving it average.
