Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governor's Island, 6/19/10
Aroma: Nose has some spice notes (cinnamon), fruit, caramel, and a bit of nuttiness
Appearance: This one pours a reddish-brown color with a thin white head
Flavor: The taste has some spice, fruits, and other malt flavors to it
Palate: This beer had a medium body, nice drinkability, and soft carbonation
Overall Impression: I liked this stuff enough. It was a decently good Winter lager. The right flavors were all there. Solidly well-made. I feel like this beer works pretty well, and I'm glad that I got to try it. This is the second time I've tried something from this brewery, and I see myself enjoying more of their beers in the future if given the chance.

12oz bottle pours clear amber with bright copper hues and a playful yet fairly brief tan head. The aroma pulses with cinnamon and some dark fruity esters. The taste is pretty darn smooth starting with cinnamon spice and then moving toward malt roastiness. It then picks up modest levels of dark fruity esters and chocolate malts. It all seems smooth and blended. Tasty stuff.

on tap @ Da Capo in Avon, goot holiday brew, still trying to figure out the distinctive taste, obviously malty sweetness, but theres something else, like raisins, plums, or black currant. I enjoyed it but I dont think i could have more than one at a time, the taste would get really stale after awhile.
