22 oz. bottle, brought back by Spurge. Thanks for the first AR tick! Pours dark mahogany, with a big, frothy, beige head. The nose is caramel, black cherries, anise, spruce, and some mineral notes and earthiness. Fairly sweet and assertively bitter, giving it a nice, dry finish. Medium body, slightly astringent, hard, and sticky. This is a hoppy and strangely roasty saison. Unique, and pretty tasty, although it’s a little harsh.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Clear dark red, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of musty funk, dry leather, crackery malts. The taste is band-aids, cherries, toffee malt. Thin.

Draft at the source, from notes. Clear dark amber color, medium white head. Aroma has lightly spiced banana and citrus. Taste is mixed spice, fruit, rising bread dough, dust. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thick tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has lots of grain with some light fruits, lots of straw and a touch of earthiness. Flavor has grain and light fruits with a hint of tartness and bread backing.
