4oz pour at the brewery pours a murky caramel brow. With some creamy, beige head. Nose has a lot of candy sugar, some spice, vanilla beans, spme dates, some dried cherries. A little off putting windex though. Flavor is candy sweet, brown sugar, a little brown butter too, some tobacco leaf, dates, some savory notes too. Slick, buttery finish. I liked the perceived buttery notes and the savory components. Not sure where that comes from though.

Draft at the source. Poured a dark brown, cola color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some figs, plum and dates. Sweet malt, vanilla, with booze. Flavor was smooth, easy drinking. Dark fruits, caramel sweetness, vanilla, wood, lots of rum notes. More enjoyable than I expected.
