The collaboration began with Genus One, a stock ale and the origin of species. This, Genus Two brewed by Evolution Craft Brewing Co. is aged in Four Roses Bourbon Barrels the contribute tones of vanilla, oak, tannins and bourbon heat. The Genus Three brewed by Flying Dog is generously dry hoped with Galaxy hops.

Bottle at tasting. I was incredibly hung over at Four Roses distillery so whenever I see the name it brings about slight nauseousness. Nose is dark fruits and grains. Tastes of grains, chewy malt, figs, bourbon sweetness, light tobacco. Decent.

750 mL bottle from Beer Run, shared at a tasting, 6/8/15. Hazy orange-brown, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla. The taste is dark fruit, wood, caramel, vanilla, candied fruit, honey. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mild heat.

750ml bottle pours a murky black with some creamy, tan head. Nose has qutie a bit of booze, rum, bourbon, toffee, figs, fruit cake, toast, malt. Flavor follows, big malt, crackery, toast, sour mash, booze, vanilla. Full bodied, hot finish.

Bottle. Clear dark brown color, beige head. Aroma of toffee, nuts, dates, figs. Taste has vanilla, dark fruit on a vinous background. Tasty.
