This sour ale is produced by aging our barleywine in bourbon barrels for extended periods of time (as long as 2 years in some cases!) The aroma is reminiscent of earthy red wines with a background of caramel and honey and just a hint of wood and sourness. The flavor is intensely sour with a touch of acetic acid and notes of brown malt, toast, and ripe red fruit. The bourbon character adds a savory, woody component that yields subtle notes of coconut and vanilla.

From tap at Ratlte’N’Hum. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and dark roasted malt. Acidic and dark malty, caramelish and dense bitter. Ends dry.
