Wow, that is...a lot of cherry. Is it authentic cherry? No, not quite. A bit closer to cherry candy and cherry cough syrup, but yet there's a slight meatiness and pastry crumble redolent of cherry pie that is quite compelling and hard to take your nose away from...vanilla, cinnamon, clove, graham flour...hell, at least there's no wort, seltzer, thin character and wondering if this is supposed to be a beer!
Rich, sweet, flavorful and full of cherry with a round, comforting, flavorful spice. Big malt and other grains to help bolster the body, leaving it feeling much, much more like a beer than pretty much any other NA I've had. Say what you will about the cherry, but it's next to authentic and isn't saccharine or cloying, nor syrupy. Hell, I could use even more sourness and spice. It's not really tart, though, but the spice and vanilla is prominent and enjoyable.
