In the wine world, Grande Cru represents the blend of an estate’s very best grapes. We took inspiration from this idea, and blended three of our very best sour barrels to create an extremely special and rare beer. With a balancing tartness and wonderfully complex aroma, this is bound to please.

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear yellow with a creamy, white head. The nose holds tangy lemon, cereal, faint acidic citrus fruits. Light-medium sweet flavour, with nice ripening and moderately sour citrus fruit character. Light in body with average carbonation and massaging texture. Balanced finish, with touches of cereal, lemon, faint tartness. Good one overall.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey for the Wicked Weed DC Debut event. Poured a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light white wine barrel notes, some light fruits, but nothing overwhelming. Some pineapple and nondescript tropical fruit notes. Subtle.

A lot of wine. I get the pineapple, but not necessarily the guava or papaya. Maybe I just can’t sing and dance. Pours hazy blonde with good head and lacing. Finish is pretty sour. Tap at Churchkey.
