Bottle. I know Abita makes a lot of different beers but I can honestly say they are One of the most disappointing breweries out there. This one is just average all the way across the board.

Little less pungent for an oktoberfest, but as it is SEPTEMBER, for fucks sake, I'm not going to compain.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a honey color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish with caramel, toasty malts and bread crust. The flavor was toasty malts, caramel, astringent & medicinal with a light tangy fruit note and some bread crust. Medium length finish with lingering medicine. Medium body. Meh.

Wet dog and pecan nose. Clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Initial burst of honey, pecan and dried leaves, maybe a little fusel alcohol. Light body, easy carbonation.

Bottle. clear copper, bubbly head. Fruity aroma, some bubble gum, rubber, biscuits, cherry. Light and a bit thin, some toasted bread and grassy mineral hops. Cherry fruitiness too. A bit fizzy. Hops are interesting, though this is far from authentic tasting.

12 oz. bottle. Pale copper with frothy white head. Aroma is mild malt, light spice, and a touch of fruitiness. Taste is weak sweet malts, grain, and a touch of spice. Mildly bitter. Somewhat sweet. Underwhelming.

Bottle. Pours amber color with medium sized foamy off-white head, malt aroma, high carbonation, faintly bitter crisp malt taste, abrupt finish. Nothing spectacular, but decent.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Clear copper, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, caramel, floral hops. The taste is toasted malt, grassy hops, hint of green apple. Thin bodied. Pretty generic.

12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, best before 1/8/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and solid robustness of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Nicely clean on lager flavors, with minimal ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very solid Oktoberfest style. All around good balance and solid robustness of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. It could have used a more robust malt profile, but was enjoyable and a nice style example overall.

12oz bottle pours with a clear light copper body that has gold hues and supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up sugar sweet malts, lagery yeast, ester sweet apples and pears and a bit of honey. The taste starts sweet and estery with apple and pear and sweet peach like fruitiness. It then quickly picks up additional notes of lager yeastiness and a dash of caramel to biscuit malts. Not too bad as it stays away from being overly sweet.
