Peak Maple Collaboration is a truly local project. It’s a new twist on our previously brewed Maple Oat Ale. We worked with local farmers and small businesses to craft this beer with Maine-grown organic oats from GrandyOats and Vermont-produced organic maple syrup from Butternut Mountain Farms. The Maple Collaboration is a copper-colored brew with a dynamic mouth feel from the organic oats and a subtle richness in the finish from the organic maple syrup. The beer is in support of Chefs Collaborative, the nation’s leading environmentally conscious culinary organization.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear bronze color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Nice looking beer. Aroma of maple, nuts, toffeeish malts, herbal almost tinny hops. The taste is big maple notes, nuts, apple. Very granola-ish. Some stone fruits and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, slight lingering bitterness and slight lingering sweetness. Nice beer.

Bottle shared by John. Pours cloudy amber orange with off white head. Nose/taste of maple syrup, pancakes, caramel and lightly ripened fruit especially Bartlett pears. Body is on the thinner side of medium.

Hazy deep copper coloured body with a thick, seven centimetre tall tan head - very large, of course. Aroma of malt, raisins, grapes, yeast, nuts and a bit of caramel and maple syrup, but just sweetness in general. Medium-bodied; Strong maple flavour at first in the taste with a definite sweetness over everything else. Some malt behind with apricots, raisins and a lot of earthy nuttiness. Aftertaste almost warm (even though beer is cold) showing some good malt flavours and that sweetness that persists throughout. Overall, a bit off on the balance, but some good sweetness and a nice maple flavour work well for the style, but don’t expect a great beer stacked up against others...this is a good amber with a nice sweetness. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 18-November-2011 for US$6.49 sampled at home in Washington on 01-October-2012.

22 oz bottle. $5.49 @ local Market Basket. Amber in a pint. Steady carbonation creates a ¼ thick white head with nice retention. Caramel and a metallic aroma. The metallic shows up in the flavor as well. Under the metallic flavor is light maple and a trace of oats that give it a medium body. Would I call this a bad beer?? No. However, would I buy it again?? No

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Maple and caramel aromas. Medium bodied with sweet maple and caramel front to back. Mild sour bitterness in the finish.
