Sampler at Maui brewing company. Brown beer, small head. Aroma is roast, coffee, malt. Taste is roasted, malt, coffee, chocolate, some nuts. Nice one

On tap at Maui Waikiki. Dark brown with small white head. Aroma is nuts, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is nuts and dark malt.

A nice barley tea and nutty nose. Slightly sour. Malt accented but nice modest hoppiness. Didn’t really get much citrus character as might expect with cascade but modest nuttiness. Finishes leaves a slightly dry bitterness but nuttiness lingers. Better than expected

A reddish copper brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, nutty notes, light cinnamon, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light cherry notes, chocolate malt, grassy hops, oily mouth feel, nice and smooth. Can.

From a can it is a dark brown color with a slight head the aroma of caramel and the taste is malty with a bittersweet molasses finish

From a 12 oz can at home. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a tan head. Chocolate and caramel aroma. Flavors of milk chocolate and root beer spices.
