33cl bottle, flip-top. BB 07/2011. Poured dark amber with a steady white head. Very grainy, dusty aroma, some mineral notes as well. Flavor grainy malty, slightly bitter finish. Well balanced, medium bodied. One of the better altbiers I have tried.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark lager? Feels like one but a pretty straight down the line and has quite a bitter finish. Nothing special!

Swing top bottle 0,33l (BZ, BB 10/2010)
Dark amber color, big creamy beige head. Toasted sugar aroma with some grainy and metallic notes. Palate is thin. Cardboard, light caramel, grassy hoppyness. Cardboard indicates that this should sampled very fresh. Typical altbier, not the most interesting one.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Reddish amber colour with mediumsized off-white fluffy head. Aroma is wood, fruits, some slight herbal tones as well as a bit earthcellary notes. Flavour sweet malts, some earthyness as well as wooden notes. Also some rather sweet raisiny/figgylike notes.

bottle, pours dark amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is light with hop and carmel malt notes. Flavor is rich with a nice malt background that rounds out fairly bitter with a fresh hop flavor on the back of the tongue. This would be a good session beer.
