100th rating for the beer, thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aroma of raisin, oatmeal and chocolate. Taste is chocolate, coconut, nutella, and decently low residual sugars. Light bubbles.

12oz bottle. Not quite opaque red-black color, minimal, but present, head. Sweet pungent chocolate aroma. Mild and lactic, not unlike a good Caribbean Stout. Honestly, I don’t know how you’d put this style into perspective if you have never been to the region. Sweet and sugary, pungent, but very drinkable. RB is right on with the categorization of this one. Not world-class by any means, but hits the mark for the style.

12 oz bottle from Enniskillen. Nose is roasty nuttiness, plain old fashioned oatmeal, chocolate, plummy fruitiness, and a light vanilla note. Black with a good sized heavy lacing tan head. Flavor is of coffee, cocoa, very light caramel, oaty grassiness, and a bit of very light bitterness. All this complexity and flavor out of a 4.9% stout! This would be a goto beer if I could get it here.

Tap @ TFD: Great looking pour is dark brown with a finger of creamy tan head. Decent bits of lacing. Aroma is malty with light roast and a bit of mocha. Tastes is sweeter with cocoa, malt, and again light roast. Just a tiny amount of coffee and oat. Creamy. I’d been waiting awhile to track this down, a bit harder to find than it’s namesake.

Bottle from Nugget Market in Vacaville, CA. Sign said it was the first time this was in California! Black color with a three finger light tan head. Aromas of smooth toasted/burnt malt and a little coffee. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is smooth burnt malt and a little coffee. Finish is a bit astringent.

A friend visiting Montana brought this one back for me - Thanks Pigboy! +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a very dark color with a small tan head. There is a light sweet and toasted aroma. The flavor is smooth, creamy and smoky. The smoky taste lingers on the aftertaste.

This was deep brown not black with a creamy tan head that dissapates rather quickly. Chocolate notes are somewhat restrained and it all disappears by the time the finish should be making it's presence known. Thin and a little disappointing. It needs something but it would make a good beer for someone who doesn't care for real robust Stouts.

Dark reddish-brown. Nutty (almond, peanut butter), smokey and coffeish aroma. Somewhat thin, but with toasty notes. Only light nuttiness.
