A slow gusher at cellar temps so watch out.
It pours what looks to be a cloudy dark brown. +1 finger head of off white foam, really nice level of lacing.
It has a real fireplace like smell of smoke, perhaps mixed with some BBQ meats.
The smoke in the taste is like no other I’ve had. Super strong charred wood, and I think they left the paint on cuz I sure get a very chemical thing going on.
Medium body, pretty heavy handed with the carbonation, and the alcohol is out of control for me.
Okay, my first drain pour of 2015. :^( --- Beer merged from original tick of Tocatta Smoked Ale on 08 Jan 2015 at 16:53 - Score: 3

Very smokey and boozy. Syrupy texture. Doesn’t come together super well. Pours clear amber. Some sweetness and some bitterness in finish. Tap at Churchkey thanks to Travlr.

Botella de 37.5 cl de el moutas de Oviedo. Lote 22--10. Tomada en junio de 2011. Sabores y aromas maltosos, intensos y con 11 vol que le dan una buena sensación alcohólica. Para repetir.

Bottle - Bacony sweetness with pale malts. Clear amber with a decent brown head. Sweet, vinous, bacon is in the background and smoke makes its big appearance in the finish.

Bottle thanks to Ferris! Pours a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of smoke with some booze and a bit of sweet grains backing. Flavor has notes of leather and smoke with some underlying earthiness, sweet grains and booze.
