Unplug with this golden IPA infused with grapefruit, citrus, and notes of pine by a vagabond blend of seven hops that continues to roam your palate long after the beer’s crisp finish. Pop the top, it’s time to..... disconnect!

Don’t think I’ll enjoy this IPA, just from the name. Makes me think of green grapefruit rinds, wew. Only $2 at vintage. From a bottle it foams all over the place in my el rey demundo glass. Yes, real big white head @ slightly cool temp. A big greasy terribly rude beer experience, menacing to my fragile taste buds. So on style for an imperial ipa. Yea, that’s what I said, doubel green grapefruit oil happy news, seething hops effect. What else can be said except it burns off the end of my noise hairs with the smell of a flammable penetrating volatile fuel. Never again.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours moderately cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange rind, pine, light honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance; and some lingering resinous bitterness after the finish for a while, but it does not become astringent. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, resinous/sticky, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good IPA. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink even with the lingering resinous bitterness. A nicely enjoyable offering.

From tap. Pours clear and golden amber to orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, peachy to apples. Citrusy and apple fruity flavoured. Light bitterness. Vague citric impression. Toasted malty. Bitter and slight herbal, dry hoppy finish. Vague bubblegum like.

Super hazy copper and light amber coloured body with a thin, half a centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of resin, grass, herbs and some light malt, but all hops - pungent and dank. Medium-bodied; Strong herbal and grassy hops up front in the taste with some light notes of pine and a medium-sized malt backbone that leaves some to be desired. Aftertaste shows the resin and grassy notes, a hint of the yeast, but basically a more mild East-coast version of PNW IPA - that is, missing the boat on the terms of the hops and the balance. Overall, a decent IPA if that, but the potential could be there - it’s dry hopped well, but there isn’t enough malt to sustain the notes and the finish is way too mild and underwhelming. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Grateful Red in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 17-May-2014 for US$2,27 sampled at home in Washington on 08-August-2014.

12oz bottle pours a mostly clear orange with some tight, white head. Nose is fairly standard, some orange peel, some grapefruit, a little lime, some malt, a bit of soap. Flavor is the same, soapy, citrus, some light honey. Mild bitterness. Fairly standard IPA. Doesn’t offend.
