Mission mars est un assemblage de Barley Wine vieillis 12 mois en barillets de chêne vermontois précédemment utilisés pour l'élaboration du Rye Whisky de la distillerie Caledonia Spirit. Son corps foncé, sa texture moelleuse et ses notes de toffee, de fruits secs et de pain grillé sont merveilleusement complétés par les effluves boisées et vanillées de spiritueux.

330ml bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Muchas Gracias. Poured almost black in colour with a thin, whispy, off-white head. The aroma is sweet caramel, boozy alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet, with a rich, smooth, sugary, ripe red berry fruits, raisins, caramel, vanilla, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate and an oily mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from the brewery shared with JimGreen at Treasure Beach, Jamaica. After some terrifying plastic wax removal it poured near black with the tiniest ring beige head. Bourbon barrel comes out immediately with milk chocolate, oak, vanilla, butterscotch and fudge following. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter, full bodied with noticeable alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.
