Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks troubles. Clear copper-amber with a beige head. Lovely smoky aroma with peat, smoked meat, malt and caramel. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, a nutty note and big smokiness, a bit meaty. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle courtesy of luttonm, thank you sir! Beautiful crystal clear ruby maroon color, beige head with nice retention and lacing. Aroma of burning Irish bogs, very intense. The taste pales in comparison, with burnt charcoal on a sweet creme brullee background.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden to copper in color and with a small, dense off-white head. The aroma is rather peated, with some meaty notes and dried fruits. Medicine and some bacon. It has some sweetness in the flavor, with peated malts, cured meaat and a touch of dried fruits. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level, quite dry. Lasting smoked, bonfire finish with a touch of dried fruits and cured meat. Quite nice this one, but I prefer the beers that aren’t peated. 140815

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, peat, leather, ash and smoke. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long peated and ash finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is smoked wet wood, some toasted notes, mild nutty and caramelly notes with some slight floral notes. Flavour is toasted, smoked wet wood and some maltiness to it. Nicely balanced.
