We teamed up with long-time friend Sean of Tom's Tap to brew this mash up of Sean's Whispering Bob recipe (originally brewed at Pig & Porter) and our beloved Oregon Trail. We took the malt bill and hot side hopping of Simcoe and Amarillo from Bob then added the dry hop of Columbus LupoCORE and Simcoe.

Panda at home, thanks to the Bearded Avenger, 13/06/2026.
Golden amber topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is orange peel, grass, grapefruit, pine nip, melon.
Taste comprises bitter orange, pine needle, grapefruit, grass.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with mellow juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Not bad if a touch thin.

Can ordered from the brewery. Clear amber. Foamy frothy off-white head. Aroma has resin with a tangy sweet citrus. Spice. Bitter and resinous. Light fruit and citrus edge which then becomes more prominent. Underlying bready malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Easy going Westie.

2026 Clitheroe Beer Festival #19. Mildly hazed deeper golden coloured brew, with a bit of amber too. Has a crisp enough hoppy-fruitiness of the tropical variety. Dryish fruitiness.

Can from Against The Grain. Golden body with a light haze and an off-white head. No visible carbonation. Aroma of orange peel and melon rind. Flavour of papery malt and white pepper with a bitter finish. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Itโ€™s a solid west coast IPA but doesnโ€™t have the wow factor.
