Tap at my dads bar. Clear Amber pour. Nose is light grapefruit and earth. Tastes of Caramel, grapefruit, earth, paper. Clean palate. Old school and tasty enough.

Bottle from Colonial Spirits Slightly hazy deep copper color with a decent sized bubbly off white head that persists. Big caramel maltiness with some light citrus to counter. Light mineral water and earthiness round this out. Solid old school pale ale.

Pours a copper from a bottle. Big piney aroma and flavor, along with caramel maltiness flavor. Very good beer.

Thanks Henry Dark orange. Light head. Orange and peppery aroma. Citrus and a bit of faded hops. A solid mouthfeel. Orange skin, honey and a little green tea. There’s a little bit of tropical taste here decent

Location: 12 oz bottle from Nikki's Liquors, 4/14/15

Aroma: It has a fruity hop aroma, tropical mostly, herbal hops, pale malts, and some dusty notes
Appearance: The pour is a darker orange, with a small beige head and medium-heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is similar, though the fruit comes through less, mildly sweet, mid-plus bitter
Palate: Medium bodied, slightly oily texture, average-to-lively carbonation, and a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a decent overall APA. The flavor and aroma both fall off through the glass significantly, which is a little odd. One of those beers where my score would probably be higher on a 6oz sample than a full bottle, but this gets the full bottle rate.

12 oz pour on draft at Doherty’s east End Pub. Aroma of toasted malts and rye. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and rye. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering spicy malt aftertaste. Real drinkable if you enjoy rye.
