Ice Cold is our Nordic Lager that pours a golden yellow hue with heaps of foam. Utilizing Fairy Tale Pilsner malt from the incredible Bonsak Maltsters in Norway, its character is a unique representation of Northern European terroir. Aromas of honey and spring flowers give way to notes of earthy spice and bright lemon peel. It’s snappy, dry, and crisp as mountain air.

The chimney’s smoke is faint in the bright sun as the ice breaks and churns across the surface. The winds that rattled our doors and snuck beneath the sill are finally still. All that’s left of the howling night are tidy drifts swept against the house. Braving the snow, as we must, our work takes us far from warmth and shelter. Soon enough, the shadows grow long, our boots thaw, and our glasses are filled with ice-cold lager.

Draft pour shared by ClarkVv—thanks, Clark. Hazy, golden yellow, nice head with fair retention and soapy lacing. Aroma is strong malt and light sweet/tart fruit. Taste follows aroma, more pronounced Pilsner malt. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and crisp, dry, yeasty, bitter finish ass taste.

Side pull at Tewks, 3/21/26.
Rich and malty with a true barley character and an almost oakiness to it (though this is unoaked). Heathery, soft, but aromatic hops complement without dominating. Very delicate and interesting.
More of the dry, woody, oaky character in flavor. But it's amply malty. Almost a bitter herb quality, which must be an innovative malt thing as it's not that far off the bitter herb character that Trillium's Flavia Barley Lager had. Whatever the case, incredibly flavorful and balanced. Or it's coincidentally some hop I'm not aware of.
