Imperial Salted Caramel Pastry Stout
Grasshopper is a decadent Imperial Salted Caramel Pastry Stout brewed at 10.5% ABV. Rich layers of dark chocolate, roasted malt and silky caramel meet a subtle touch of sea salt for a perfectly balanced, indulgent finish. Full-bodied, smooth and unapologetically bold – a dessert in a glass with a serious kick.

0.5 l can thanks to Marko, shared with Cuso and Marko. Dark brown, small beige head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, nutty, bready. Hints of alcohol. Hints of dried fruit. Hints of vanilla. Smooth chocolate flavour, roasted coffee, dark caramel, some dried fruit. Very nice round smooth dry finish. Actually an excellent imperial stout with some alcohol sticking out in the finish.

Can from Marko and Hrabren, shared at the UPS Fest 2026. Many thanks. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt caramel. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, dried fruits, salty caramel. Alcohol is well hidden. Good beer, not too much stout.

Can, thx Ivica! Shared with ES and Gurthnar at the Ø tasting. Dark amber-brow body, fleeting tan head. Smooth light caramelly bit salty aroma. Lean light dry caramelly taste, bitter herbal finish, bit salty... surprising taste, hiding the alcohol as well, but this is do weird for a stout. As Zhenya says... It's a good dopplebock taste-wise, not a stout.

At a Drinkoteka tasting with the guys. ABV hidden well. Unfortunately so is everything else. Feels a bit thin, neutral. Med cocoa, chocolate, light coffee. Med-light dried fruits. Overall goodish, nongreatish.

Can, 0.5l. Murky deep brown pour, two finger frothy beige head, good retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, roasty, bready, notes of coffee and chocolate.
Medium to full body, medium carbonation, lively. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, slightly fizzy. Surprisingly lightweight, not as thick as I expected. Roasty bittersweet taste with somewhat strong alcohol presence. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Bready notes, wood, salted caramel, dark fruits and berries. Strong alcohol aftertaste, quite boozy. Long lasting finish, dry, roasty, bitter, boozy.
Not bad but slightly too boozy and lacking in thickness.

Bottled 500ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized brownish head, chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, salted caramel, light vanilla and sharp alcohol with mild salty touch in the finish. Bit boozy.
