Harvest IPA

Hop Knife recognizes the time-honored tradition of hand-harvesting hops at the peak of maturity. At the end of fermentation, the beer flows through our HopCyclone releasing a bounty of preserved citrus rind, pineapple and tropical aromas.

We taste: orange zest, honeysuckle, pineapple

Bottle from Bruisin' Ales. Pours light copper with a white head. Aroma is bready/malty with mild citrus/resin. Med body. Flavor is mostly resin with caramel, but the hop isn't tangy/spicy, more towards earthy. Lots of hop tho. Decent with more flavor strength than many.

12 oz can purchased as a single at Hyde Park Wine and Spirits in Cincinnati, Ohio. Freshest by 12/1/17 stamped on bottom of can. The pour is a clear orange golden with a well formed and lasting off white head. Nice lace. The aroma is fresh leafy grassy hops, along with medicinal and some straw. The taste is the fresh wet hop, leaf grass, picks up nice citrus and finishes with the straw. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and a resin leaf mineral finish.

On tap at GABF 16'. Pours a hazy orange gold with frothy off white head. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, grass, grapefruit, lingering bitterness, very good.

12 oz bottle poured, with thanks to Eugene for the bottle. A bright, glowing clear orange pour with a rocky foam head. A unique aroma pinhole, and a bit soapy. This has a sweetness to it, that reminds me of red vines. Funny, but not bad. Cool, and refreshing. A different take on the IPA that I’m used to, which is nice. A fun beer. Pretty good stuff.

Bottle. Kroger. Pours crystal clear golden with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus hops, watermelon?, light floral hops. Tasty somewhat sweet tropical fruit hops, lemon zest, pine. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a golden burnt yellow color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Solid sticky lace.
The aroma starts with citrus hoppy oils and tropical fruity sweetness. Super underscore of malts.
The flavor brings the hoppy bitter oils to cross the tropical sticky fruitiness to blend nicely together and slide into the aftertaste and right on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable hop slick feel to it. The oiliness from the hops really impart a nice wet feel to it.
Overall, now that’s a really nice fresh wet hopped AIPA

Kraftwork, Philadelphia tap: copper with a white head. Aroma is resinous pine. Taste is kind of bitter. Lightly oily. Easy to drink at the same time. Pretty dank.
