Our take on a German style Pilsner. We take your traditional German Pils and add a good old American Hop Punch. This beer is clean, crisp and refreshing. This golden lager is the perfect beer for hot Virginia summer days.

Consumed 4/26/14. 12 ounce can at Leesburg Brewing Company poured into a standard pint glass. Straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus, lemon/lime. Tasting notes of wheat, citrus. Medium body with a dry finish. Light mouthfeel.

Can: Weak lemony nose. Clear yellow, thick head. Corn initially, quite grassy at midpalate and beyond. Metallic throughout. My initial impression was this was fairly macroish, but it turned out to be fairly well hopped, its saving grace.

12oz can pours a completely clear, light straw gold with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose is light flour, malt, cracker, grass, heavy straw, lemon. Flavor is sort of similar, flour, bread, lemon, grass, hay, straw, a little honey. Clean finish. Decent.

Total Wine, Fairfax sixer: Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is American hops, with some grass, and bread. Taste is nice and hoppy, with more of an American pine direction than a German grassy one. Refreshing and crisp of course. Tasty and sessionable.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Grassy hop aroma. The taste is grassy hops, butter and grainy notes. Thin-medium bodied.
