Tap at Bluejacket. Fruity sour brown ale. Foamy off-white head. Has a grape touch. Sour, but pleasantly so. Lacto tones come off more and more. Solid.

4oz pour at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear, root beer brown with some thin white head. Nose is very interesting, some mild vinegar, some mild malt, red grape, a little unripened plum, a little wood pulp. Flavor has a bit more cherry sourness, tart grape, a little more wood, wood comes through almost earthy, mild vinegar, a bit of dry crackery malt. Tart finish but not abrasive. Well balanced throughout.

4 oz draft pour at Bluejacket. Hazy brown with a little off-white to light tan ring. Aromas of red grapes and tart fruit. Tastes of sour red grapes, cherries, a bit of vinegar, tart notes. Medium-light body with a dry and tart finish. Low carbonation. Lacto worked pretty nicely in this one.

Light sour, though not much roast. I get the sour cherries, and they add astringency to the roast. Clear mahogany pour. Tap at brewpub.

Taster at the source. Poured a dark ruby color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light tartness, vinous notes, some sweet toffee candy notes. Flavor was light for 7.6%, tartness comes through nicely, no pucker, but a pretty tasty lacto character that doesn’t overpower the other ingredients.
