The base beer has been 100% triple mashed and has aged in 100% Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon barrels. Super deluxe specialty bourbon barrels.
Double Oaked bourbon has a unique process that enhances the oak characters creating a deep, smooth complexity. After aging in a classic charred oak barrel, like all bourbons, this specific bourbon moves to a second, toasted oak barrel, adding rich layers of vanilla, caramel, and spice.
Expect intense flavors with a warm, toasted finish. A true holiday treat for non-adjunct barrel-aged beer lovers!

15/VII/25 - 44cl can from Moersleutel webshop @ Hipster Tasting (home), BB: n/a (2025-679) Thanks to ElManana for sharing the can!
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige to brown head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very oxidized, lots of cough syrup, elderberry syrup, some chlorine, woody touch, bourbon notes. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: very sweet and sugary, malty, caramel, some chocolate, pretty oxidized, nice! Aftertaste: chocolate, a hint of coconut, good roast, lots of alcohol, sugary, more chocolate, caramel, lovely beer!

Barrel aged but not well integrated. The barrel is overwhelming the stout instead of adding something to the stout.
