World of Beer and Bavik have partnered to create a collaborative release exclusive to World of Beer - C’est La Vie! The beer is based off of the Petrus Tripel, and then dry hopped with Saphir hops. Made with 100% Belgian grown hops, C’est La Vie! has a unique hop character not normally seen with Belgian beer. This beer was made to be approachable by the most novice of beer consumers, as well as provide a unique and complex experience for the most experienced beer consumer. C’est La Vie! is dry hopped with Belgian grown Saphir hops. It has a bright golden color, a floral hop aroma, and since it is dry hopped with Saphir hops, it has a pronounced floral character with some citrusy notes.

Well, that is terrible. How this is a tripel is beyond me. Whatever Mexico game is on, beer. Getting a pretzel. Awesome.

Tap at Sidedoor. I didn't know this was a Petrus Tripel variation when I rated it. Low carbonation. Sort of a watery Tripel sort of feel. Mild noble hop tones, balance. Sweet malt tones, reasonable yeast. OK, but no that impressive of a mouthfeel.

Keg at World of Beer Charlottesville. Slightly hazy golden, large creamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of candi sugar, bread, herbal hops. The taste is citrus, herbal, green hops, bready malt, apples, mild caramel and nuts. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness and spice, low carbonation.

3oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest 2014. Pours a clear gold with some filmy, white head. Nose is candy, lemon, yeast, white flour, pithy. Flavor is malty, white bread, candy, a little soap, perfume, mild citrus. Clean, lightly bitter finish.

World of Beer, Arlington tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is fruit, sugar, Sapphir hops, and flowers. Taste is pretty sweet .The Sapphir hops add a nice overtone to the beer and in some ways dominate. Easy to drink and rather pleasant.
