For the second edition of Rise Up, we brewed it as a kölsch. There's the slightest hint of biscuity sweetness off the malt, paired with an even hand of peppery tettnanger and aramis hops. There's a crisp minerality on the finish, gently coaxing you back again and again.
As with the previous batch, Rise Up is not just a crushable little lager, it also does a bit of good in the community. $1 from each 4-pack sold will benefit the @the_sjma, who provide youth in the Downtown East Side with free classical music education in a safe afterschool setting.

Gold, head fades promptly. Watery fruit nose. Neutral fore, vague citrus mid. Light bitterness seems out of place. Poor example of the style

473mL can, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of straw, biscuity malt, and some mineraly notes. Flavour is very clean, with straw, mineraly notes, even a touch of hops, with a clean biscuity malt finish. Authentic, very clean, crisp. Pretty close to as good as the style gets.

On tap at Dageraad. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Wheaty malts and minerals on the nose. Flavour is wheaty, very gentle citrus peel, iron, and a bit of a fermented wheat character lingering on the palate. It's okay, I think could be a bit cleaner, that fermentation character throws it off a bit.

Poured from the tap @ Dageraad. Clear blonde with white head. Nice easy drinking, biscuit malt, feint grass hops in the background.
