A British Table Beer, 2.7% abv, based on a recipe from the Barclay Perkins Brewery circa 1804. This beer is made possible by the exhaustive research of Ron Pattinson (barclayperkins.blogspot.com) and the prompting of local beer historian Mike Stein & Tim Prendergast. It's moderately bittered with Kent Goldings, light bodied with a beautiful malt nose and hints of toffee from British brown & amber malts. The base malt was British halcyon pale ale malt.

16 oz cask pour at Pratt Street in a nonic pint glass. Dark reddish brown with thin off-white head. Aromas mainly of toffee and roast. Tastes of big toffee, floral notes, chocolate, light roast, malt. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Low carbonation. Very nice flavor for a sub 3% ABV beer.
