Dark & Creamy Stout
This test batch is a corrective step towards what we hope will be a house classic - referring to historic and modern examples of the style, we've dialled in a recipe with all the things about pints of stout that we love.
A carefully balanced malt bill lays down the foundation. Expect light grain sweetness up front, cocoa powder, espresso and a gentle roast bitterness to finish. The body is smooth but not heavy, designed for drinkability rather than indulgence.
This is a stout with northern sensibility - honest, balanced and sessionable. Still evolving, still being refined, but aspiring to become an everyday classic.

Pours jet black with a big fluffy creamy light tan head as it was served on Nitro. Light coffee, cocoa, roasted malt, a little caramel and malt on the finish. Solid chugging stout. Lovely
