Aged in Willett Family Estate Bourbon Barrels to impart subtle warming, woody, and vanilla notes against a backbone of roasted malt and whispers of coffee and chocolate. A delectable delicate offering that celebrates our third trip around the sun.

On tap at El Sueñito. Pours black with a tan head. Loads of bourbon barrels and dark sugars on the nose. Flavour is dominated by the bourbon barrels, has a spicy woody character, malts lean into the dark sugars and charring. Very nice.

500ml @ Ryan's. 43rd birthday gathering.
Aroma: a bit roasty, moderately sweet, boozy.
Taste: along the same lines, rough, barrel.
Overall: requires balancing and sophistication, meh.

Dark brown. The aroma seems weak, in terms of malt richness. Some fruitiness, and it's not working with the barrels. On the palate, definitely on the lighter side, The barrel is strong, boozy, kind of overwhelms the base.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has a soft bourbon barrel character upfront, gentle oats, and toasted malt. Flavour is quite boozy and barrel-heavy, with lots of bourbon, wood, booziness, and toasted malt underneath. For a rather tame base beer, the barrels are allowed to shine here. Pretty solid, but not super complex.
