Rotbier is a style of lager brewed with special Red barley malt, traditionally in Nürnberg. Similar in colour to a Märzen, but lower alcohol and with a fantastic full malty flavour. This one is 4.4% ABV, and has a wonderful glowing red colour (if you can find some sunshine to hold it up in!) and a pale tan, foamy head.

The beer style fell out of fashion but has recently been revived by several German breweries... and now by us! Our version was hopped with Hallertau Tradition and lagered in our German 3 bar-rated tanks.
