A collaboration with DuClaw Brewing Co. As black as the shadows from which the ninja emerges this ale drinks with ease but has an assertive hop bitterness (Galena) and a dry finish with lingering roasted malt notes.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5
Draft. Dark brown color, medium tan head. Aroma of roasty cocoa and dark fruit. Taste has roast, toffee. Not much of the IPA part comes through.

Tap at Duclaw Bowie. Approaching black, hints of stained glass red in the corners. Steady respectable beige head. Has some of Oliver’s English sensibilities, but still a pretty hoppy, flavorful Black IPA. Mild ABV I suppose, but still has that thick specialty malt feel. Pretty nice beer overall.
