Can shared by Steve. Opaque black, thin head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong coconut, cinnamon, chocolate. Taste is initial raw coconut/slight dark fruit, late toasted coconut. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied, soft carbonation, slight alcohol warmth, finish as taste. OK but, overall, too sweet and taste is a little I'll defined relative to aroma.

Well damn it, I was worried about this. Smells a bit raw and not well-aged. Strong, raw sugars and strong yeast notes swirl about (not quite boozey, at least) managing to obscure the coconut somewhat and a lot of the amburana. I guess the brewers are worried that if they age it too long the adjuncts will dissipate? Instead you get messy beer. Oh joy.
Not as sweet as the nose suggests, though. There's a bit of dull alcohol, and the coconut isn't overdone. Amburana spice is just noticeable enough. It's drinkable on account of the actual attenuation, spice and fun flavors, but still feels very rough around the edges, with alcohol somewhat pervasive, even if it isn't hot/sharp.
