On tap at the Bocktown Monace. Nice place. Today the over 40 girl at the bar was pretty freindly but becareful, she has a short fuse. Pour is a big black stout with a scummy head. Smell lacks that typical impy stout aroma. Smells more like mild bandaids. Not too sure what to think about this. It certainly does not come across like 10% but it is volatilte in a 7% kind of way. This stuff evolves on the papalkte, first its kind a stoutish then it evolves into overdrive. Bitter boter. Yes, each swig starts off smooth then it becomes a rude finish. bitter bandaid. Astrigent, reallly sticks into the back of yer throat. No detectable co2 in this. If you like impy stout, ignore my numbers and give it a try, quite unique in the stout arena. I’m just a fan of impy stout. It was there so I tried it.

On tap at Fat Heads. Pours a jet black color with a medium brown head, looks good. A rich nose of roast and char. The flavor is smoke, metallic, hops, light to big bitterness, odd rich chocolate and dry earth. Good. loads of bitterness makes it nearly a big BIPA. Nice altogether.

Dark with a medium head. Aroma is cocoa powder, roasted malts, a bit of burnt malt. Flavor was similar with a little anise and earthy hops. Interesting but not something I would go back to.
