Englo-Belgian Barley-wine Our latest collaboration with Stillwater Ales. We have taken a British beer style and given it a Belgian style spin. #6 is an Anglo-Belge barley wine of sorts, brewed using a base of English pale ale with English Crystal and wheat malts, Belgian biscuit & caramel-Vienna along with Belgian Dark Candi syrup and brown sugar. English hops complement the sweetness and notes of fig & raisin.

Draft at Max’s Belgian Fest. Maroon purple brown color, bright tan head. Aroma of winter fruit. Taste is rich sweet plum pudding.

3oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest 2014. Pours a light brown with some sudsy head. Nose has toffee, some under attenuated malt, soap, some spice, a little bubblegum. Flavor is a mess, overly sweet, estery, a little butterscotch, booze. Sticky, boozy finish. Either a bad batch or it fermented too hot.
