Our "Grand Cru" is actually a special "Belgian-style Golden Strong Ale." This style was made famous by a very popular Belgian beer called "Duvel." So if you love Duvel, give ours a try! (Give it a try anyway!) It is also similar to another well-known Belgian beer style called "Tripel," which is sometimes brewed by monks. Golden in color, our Grand Cru has notes of bread and crackers from the pale malts used, as well as a fruity character from the Belgian yeast strain. It has a slight sourness from the addition of whole coriander seeds, which also adds a touch of orange flavor to the beer. Bitterness is low-moderate, appropriate for this style. The higher alcohol content adds a nice warming quality to the beer. Due to its very high alcohol content, we serve this beer as a 10 ounce pour in a goblet. Enjoy!

On tap at the Craft Grille. Pours a pale yellow, clear, with a white head. White grape and green apple aroma. Green apple, pear, yeasty bubble gum, a bit on the lighter side as tripels go. Nice.
