Hey this actually smells like rice, a bit of lager yeast and some fresh herb from the hop! Wow, no wort, no seltzer, no cardboard!
Still very light-bodied, of course, but this is about as good as it gets for N/A lager currently (mass-produced ones, anyways). I thought Athletic Noble Pils was much better-hopped than this, but this one's rice and lager character beat that one out. I was thinking, "Wow, did Go Brewing really just knock it out of the park with this one??" and then, "No, probably just having it 3 weeks old instead of 3 months old." Sadly. When you are centrifuging an already light, precarious beverage, it doesn't make for a long life. That said, I DO think this is quite well done with a good balance of malt, rice and and hop and more body than usual for an N/A.
