Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a near clear orange brown with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is rye forward with some sweet bread and a bit of straw underlying. Flavor is rye forward with bread and sweet grains supporting.

Tap at The Rook and Pawn, Athens, GA. Deep amber colour, medium-sized beige head. Caramel, light oaky vanilla in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, oak, some bready notes from rye. Clean although not the most exiciting brew.

Good idea, but the rye and oak come off so slight as to be afterthoughts. Toasted malt sweetness with bready undertones. Slight vanilla notes from the oak, with a hop-free bland finish. Pretty big disappointment.

Draft from a coffee shop in Savannah. Consumed while walking through the historical district. Nice amber color. Good rye flavor on some light resin and citrus hops. Medium body. Just an overall nice, drinkable beer, and I love the Savannah open container laws.

On tap at Southern Filling Station. Clear, dark copper, with a medium, dense, beige head. Nose is burnt caramel, rye, piney hops, and some chalk. Very sweet, with a touch of bitterness and light spice. Medium body, syrupy, and grainy. A little harsh. Overall, this a nice, mellow, spicy rye beer.
