Bottle, 6.5%. Thank you, Bamsen78! The aroma is quite malty, slightly caramelly, and also a little alcoholic. The appearance is a hazy greyish copper colour with a creamy white head. The flavour starts off quite bitter with a little yeast. Then comes a nice caramelly note. It also has some citrusy hop notes which I did not expect in a Doppelbock. The finish has a distinct bitterness, uncompromising but clean enough.

Draught @ the brewpub, Varde. Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with touches of caramel and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and yeast, and hints of fruit. Bitter and estery aftertaste with notes of malt. Satiating and well-balanced. Decent work, Jacobi!
