We were lucky enough to have a delightful week working with Carla from Australian brewery Shapeshifter a few weeks back. While she was here, we thought it would be silly not to brew up something bright and juicy.
For this Aussie-inspired pale ale, we got our hands on a new yeast strain from WHC Labs called Mango Madness. It's our first time working with this expressive, thermotolerant strain that should achieve what it says on the tin. Producing bold aromas of mango and guava, and high levels of biotransformation.
Aussie hop Enigma takes the lead, with a supporting cast of Talus and Citra to round out those bold tropical flavours with subtle notes of coconut and lime.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, Bermondsey, 08/05/2026.
Hazed orange topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is ripe tropicana, dank chimes, grass, I'd picked out Sabro when rating but realise now reading the description it was it's little bro Talus.
Taste comprises stone fruit, lychee, grass, dank rip.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spliced with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness.
Solid.

Pours murky milky pale yellow gold with a thin white cap that fades a little. Lotsxof dank bitter hop, grapefruit, ripe stone fruit, hint of coconut and smidge of lime. Nice ripe stone fruit on finish with lime zing then dank bitter hop kicks in leaving sticky hop bitterness on palate. Like this.
