Bottle from BOTW. Deep amber orange, low lacy head. Nice dry hop aroma, citrus and hay, estery peaches. Lightly sweet with nice fruit, peaches, apple, yeasty spice. fresh, well-balanced, flavorful and easy drinking. Nice peppery, bitter hop finish. Very good.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/25/14
Aroma: The first whiff is all weed, that fades to a Belgian-yeast, spice, and grapefruit/citrus nose
Appearance: It pours a hazy golden color with a fizzy white head and some fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is a mix of spice, yeast, and citrus, light sweet, with a tart and dry flavor
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a lively carbonation, and a dry, tart finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice, well-made, Belgian-style IPA. The hop components provide a nice, tart flavor to go along with the yeast, spice, and hop bitter flavors.

12 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 1/20/2014. Pours fairly cloudy bright golden amber color with a 3 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, pear, light banana, clove, pepper, floral, grass, light bubblegum, cracker, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop, yeast ester, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, pear, light banana, clove, pepper, light bubblegum, floral, grass, bread, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spice and floral hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, pear, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of hop, yeast ester, and moderate malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian IPA. All around good balance and complexity of hop, yeast ester, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle offered @ home picked up at Supermarket Liquor Foco. Michael James rew of the month rec. Pours a touch hazy golden orange appearance with a big head. Spidery, off white lacing. Aroma is full of perfumy flowers, bready yeast, grass, and lemony / juicy hops. Very effervescent. A touch of bubblegum in there as well. Nice mouth feel. The age of the bottle comes through more in the mouth. A bit of paper but to be fair to Ommegang, these have been rotting under fluorescent lights at the liquor store for damn near two months now. Biscuity and lemony. A bit doughy. A touch dusty. Would like to try again fresh but right now this is drinking pretty fucken good just now.

Sample pour from bottle, thanks to Russ at Ale Yeah! Pours clear orange, with a medium, beige head. The aroma is heavy pine and citrus hops, with some caramel, bread, and cardamom. Heavy hopping, with a significant sweetness, and just a touch of spiciness. Medium body, sticky, and sharp. Overall, this is a very hop-forward beer, but with a good malt backbone. Very nice.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a foamy/creamy 3 finger white head. Aroma is floral and fruit, definitely berry. Med body? Lots of foam. Flavor is mostly floral, with some Belgian yeast/spice. The hop is also earthy, after a little time. It’s not very bitter, but it is very hoppy. This is a really good drink.

Bottle at home in Salisbury - picked up at Julio’s. pours lightly hazy gold with a large, frothy off-white head. The aroma has a bit of melon, some pee, yeast, tangerine. Light sweet flavor, fairly dry, with further melon, a bit of citrus rind bitterness, tangerine, pale bread and grain husk. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat dry on the finish with more rindy and husky bitterness, some pithy citrus, hay, dry grass. Decent stuff.
