This traditional southern English style brown ale combines European malts with American hops. The result is a rich, malty, full-bodied ale, with a subtle hint of fruitiness on the nose and palate.

On tap at the new Bocktown in Monaca. Pour is dark brown with very little head. Slight roasty aroma. First taste has personality. Roasty and leathery. Rather friendly for a leathery kind of beer IMHO. Has just a tad of bitterness but not much. Better than expected for some reason. Easy finish. One of the better brown ales as far as I am concerned. Good easy finish. Well behaved. Overall a decent beer tasting experience.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized creamy beige head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was malty, toasty, malted milk and hints of vanilla and wood. The flavor was malty, nutty, woody, malted milk and vanilla. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.
