Bottle. Coffee, milk chocolate malt and straw aroma. Black with small head. Sweet milk chocolate, light malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Watery body. Okay but not much there.

Bottle: Deep brown with a thick, dark tan head. Roasty coffee, chocolate scent. Slightly lactic, caramel/coffee/chocolate malts....and a coffee-ground bitter finish in the taste... Light.....Not bad.

This is a good porter. Black with a good white head. Heavily roasted aroma. Lots of roasted grain in the flavor, with some coffee and chocolate. Thick palate. A good porter.

Adding a point because the beer gets better as it warms. Bottle poured dark brown with beige head. Malty aroma. Medium bodied, with some bittersweet chocolate. Chocolate finish with mild spicy hop

22oz bottle shared by Anndiesel. Deep red-brown, steady thin beige head. Mellow caramel, coffee, toffee aroma. Quite dry and bitter in the finish, Mellow balanced chocolate and caramel tones and a bitter, soapy, dry hop bite. On the fuller side of medium bodied, Enjoyable, well executed.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy dark reddish brown color with a nice 2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some decent spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, coffee, biscuit, citrus, and herbal hops. Some pretty standard porter aromas with decent strength and balance. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, biscuit, herbal, coffee, and citrus. A decent amount of herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, biscuit, caramel, and citrus on the finish for a bit. Nice evenly balanced blend of roasted and hop flavors. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Very easy and smooth to drink; with almost no alcohol warming present on the finish. Overall this is a nice and straightforward porter. Nice balance of flavors and quite enjoyable.
