A fruit-filled ode to an impending spring, Happy Collider is our latest Patrons Project release with Tula Lotay.
This Fruited Smoothie IPA has a delicious balance of the juicy sweetness of strawberry and the tangy bite of blueberry, in a deep red-purple hue. Our oat-heavy base has been topped off with milk sugar to guarantee that milkshake mouthfeel. Hopped with US Mosaic and French Barbe Rouge, both of these bring their own berry notes to the beer, finished with a touch of Mosaic for just a hint of the tropical.
Teaming up with Dutch beer engineers, Moersleutel, we wanted to make something that both paid homage to the bounty of winter while looking forward to the fruits of summer

Keg at the Old Flax Store / NM Refectory, Leeds, 14/04/2026.
Berry red looker with a crimson cap.
Nose is mild berry tang, soft malts, straw, fruit smoothie vibes.
Taste comprises soft malts, mellow hop edge, straw, faint citric, red berry twang, lactic pinch.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow bitter edge.
Okay for the sub genre but it's filed under the 'Mr H' camp somewhat for me.

Three colours red to continue a colourful Northern Monk bar trio. It's a deeper clouded red beer, but crisp tasting and easy, something its appearance doesn't suggest, but offers up in surprise. Red berry is apparent, mostly in taste over aroma. I'm kind of programmed into sour ales of this ilk and look, so this keg pour is sort of messing with my mind on this occasion, and that's part of the fun here.
