Website lists it as a double, but the can very clearly states 7% and you're not going to make a typo on a handmade label. Undated can from the brewery drunk 4/25/26.
Whatever it is, it smells really nice. Lots of soft mineral, with a touch of red grapefruit and mild tropical fruit rind. Mosaic and/or Simcoe-like spiciness is tasteful, as well. Fluffy, airy malts suggesting light white bread, or light honey. No resin, no alcohol, not overly yeasty.
Soft and malty but with excellent, long tropical fruit and juicy citrus woven in to the beer nicely. Not too bitter, but there's enough, owing to a good attenuation and some dry, wood-like character (keeps making me think Simcoe, but it could be anything, really). Whatever it is, there's no big acidity whatsoever and it finishes fluffy, fruity, soft and pillowy. Really nice stuff. Lychee lingering is a nice touch, too. Tastes like 7%.
