At source: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is sugar and ripe fruit. Taste is bitter and pretty sweet. Some bitter and hoppy aftertaste. A boozy note is in there. Not that good. Too heavy.

On draft at the brewery it is a clear golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is bitter with white grapefruit that finishes bitter in the palate.

Growler shared by radagast83 at the DC Local Tasting on 8/16/2014. Hazy yellow with light off-white head. Aromas of light floral notes and pine. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, pine, light caramel. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-low carbonation. 7/3/7/3/14

Re-tried at Caboose on 7/24/2015, 4 oz pour on draft. Pretty good all around, seems like they’ve fine tuned the recipe. 7/4/8/4/15

32oz growler pours a hazy orange with cloudy, white head. Nose is pithy, heavy citrus, heavy pine, pine sol too, mild candy. Flavor has a bit of vodka/bleach at the outset but that fades away, the soap comes after, pine too, some grapefruit. Bitter finish.

Draft sample at the brewery during growler hours - construction starts next week, official opening in a few months. Poured a medium orange-amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was tropical fruit notes, juicy. Intense hop notes. Flavor was tropical fruit notes, fresh NZ hop notes. I hope the second keg I got a growler of this from isn’t too bitter.
