At the source: pours clear brown with a white head. Aroma is chocolate, nuts, and roast. Taste is lightly sweet and malty. Simple but I like it.

Growler shared by radagast83 at the DC Local Tasting on 8/16/2014. Dark brown with light off-white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, maple. Tastes of roast, caramel, toffee, light chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. A little tweaking and this could be a promising brown ale. 7/4/7/4/14

Re-rate. 4 oz pour on draft at Caboose on 7/2/2015. Listed as Caboose Brown Ale. Dark brown with beige head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, light roast. Tastes of roast, caramel, toffee. Medium body with a dry finish. Seems like it’s been improved since my last rate. 7/4/8/4/16

32oz growler pours a clear, dark brown with some cloudy, white head. Nose is sweet, mapley, brown sugar, a little cakey, some vanillin, caramel. Flavor is very distinctly maple, sweet brown sugar, a little birch, some rootbeer. Clean finish.

Draft sample at the brewery during growler hours - construction starts next week, official opening in a few months. Poured a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light toasted malts, some nutty roasted character. Flavor had light dark chocolate, some bitter notes, a touch nutty. Relatively creamy.
