Tap at JR's. I don't thin its la prima, so it must be common, well at least they're the most recent ratings. Big and black, nose is quite boozy, and that booziness form a continuum across all aspects of this beer from start to finish. No hint of coffee in the nose. Yes, this is almost 7% and its proud to let you know. Think more alky than coffee in this brew. Volatile, does not hide its dizzying effects well. Mostly just a thinner antifreeze dark coffee beer, sans coffee, heheheh. Not impressed, but you may be. Would be better with just a little more coffee attributes.

22oz bottle pours a watery, but nearly opaque black with some thicker, eggshell head. Nose has big bright coffee grounds, nutty, malt, toast, cracker,a little dark chocolate, but mostly just quality coffee. Flavor is so balanced, roasty, coffee grounds, toasted bread crust, malt, some mild molasses, hints of smoke. The coffee is really the star. Dry finish. Really good.

Huge coffee bomb. Black with a pillowy head and good lacing. Bitter finish. Roast, with some musk. Gets better after a few sips. Bottle thanks to Noodleuser.

750 thanks to Dan. Pours a jet black color with a medium creamy brown head. A sweet nose of coffee, milk and ash. Big sweet coffee but not too much, lactose, black patent, roasted heavy malts, some metal, vanilla. Quite good. Funny story: I had a giant liter bottle of this that I asked my mom to mail out. She literally put it in a UPS flat rate box with no packing. It broke. Nice to try it finally.

750 mL bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a large foamy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of bitter coffee, coffee grounds, sweet malt finish. The taste is roast coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, sweet malts and a mild hop note in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent, well balanced.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy-creamy brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dry brewed coffee. The flavor was dry, roasty and had a fairly strong brewed coffee presence. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth. Ok.
