Beer number eight at the 31st May 2026 Bandstand Beer Gathering in Shrewsbury, five of us sharing stuff. 440ml can, black, no head worthy of the name. Sweet coconut dominate the nose and taste, along with the tonka beans; not unpleasant but but a little overpowering for my palate.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Dark malt with toasted coconut, not much tonka, roast, cold coffee, caramel. Medium sweet, light bitter. Body a bit thinner than I like for this aroma/sweetness.

440ml can from House of Trembling Madness. A black cola coloured pour with no head whatsoever. Sweetish, coconut, caramel, vanilla, tonka action. Pleasant enough but seemed a little lifeless.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with no head, carbonation or lacing. Aroma of kidney beans, vanilla and coffee. Flavour of soy sauce, salted caramel and toasted coconut. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. The fact there’s zero head is a bit odd, but this is a tasty beer. Tonka and coconut (and no lactose) is a great combo.
